You were made to lead

a meaningful life

When living by faith gets messy, we have a choice. Are we going to bow out or lean in? A life that feels satisfying and significant is the result of faith applied courageously over time. . . and perhaps with a little help from a friend.

Interestingly, an actual black sheep (back in the day) was prized by their shepherd, because of the unique quality of their wool.  It was a rare occurrence.  This sheep was valued because of its uniqueness.

mission

I believe the world needs black sheep messengers, to restore the color, to reframe the
paradigm, to share their stories proudly, and to make their own unique contribution to the
world! My mission is to create a safe place for the black sheep, for encouragement and
mission, for restoration and assignment, for affirmation and support – to help you find your
flock – and stay strong in the journey.

A safe place for the black sheep where you can find your flock – and stay strong in the journey.

Hi there, I’m Piet Van Waarde!

Saying “yes” to Jesus is exciting, especially for one who is used to being seen as a black sheep. But actually following Jesus? That journey can be challenging, complicated, and, at times, it might even feel pointless.

I believe these moments are the ones that make us. These are the moments where we get to choose what we’re about, what we believe in, and what we’ll fight for. In these moments, we can choose to either back out or dig deep. And we don’t have to do it alone.

I’m Piet. As someone who’s been doing the “faith thing” for decades, I’m all too familiar with the ups and downs of the journey. I’m not someone to tell you all the answers or give you a magic formula for faithful living. Instead, I’m here to walk with you and talk with you as we keep the faith together.

You don’t have to stay stuck. You can deepen your strength and keep saying “yes” to build a life that, while not easy, will be deeply satisfying and full of meaning.
